Senior Software Engineer for Ad Network
RockYou is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Ad Network (http://ads.rockyou.com). We have tens of billions of impressions a month, and we are looking for a self-starter who will embrace our scalability challenges and get things done.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new product features
- Participate in complete product development cycle (specification/design/implementation/QA/production support).
- Work with operations on production bugs and product maintenance
Requirements:
- 5+ years software development experience
- 3+ years database related programming experience
- Experience in building scalable, multi-threaded servers using Java based technologies
- Thorough understanding of web based standards, including http, html and javascript
- Comfortable working in both unix and windows environments
- Strong analytical skills, especially the ability to find recurring patterns in a large volume of data
- Previous experience with production support
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent (PhD is a plus)
Pluses:
- Experience with a scripting language (PHP, Ruby)
- Experience with agile development process (scrum)
- Previous experience with ad server
- Background in statistics

Campaign Manager
Campaign Manager will be responsible for managing brand client accounts. This is a role which requires a highly detail oriented individual, who is comfortable and has previous experience interfacing with clients and thrives on working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. Previous experience as a project manager or an account manager is desired.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver large projects/campaigns on time and on budget
- Coordinate with clients and agencies to obtain creative materials and launch advertising campaigns.
- Ensure clients’ ads are trafficked, monitored, and optimized.
- Maximize campaign performance and company revenue by preparing reports, analyzing data (performance and delivery), preparing recommendations and initiating tactical optimizations (creative execution and strategy, placement evaluation, day-parting, frequency capping, etc.) to further increase success rate and renew/grow current business.
- Prepare all project documentation, including plans, status reports, etc…
- Effectively manage communication with clients and internal stakeholders
- Responsible for project revenue management and reporting
- Identify resource requirements
- Provide existing/historical program feedback during proposal process to generate compelling renewable advertising programs.
- Maintain QA process for all advertisements, assuring that all ads meet creative specifications and are tracked properly
- Coordinate with clients and internal sales, creative and other departments for set-up and implementation of campaigns.
- Provide weekly pacing reports for all ads & provide suggested measures to ensure full revenue expectations are realized
Knowledge/Skills
- Minimum 2 years experience managing projects preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strong knowledge of the web and the software development process and technologies
- In depth knowledge of project management tools, best practices and processes
- Experience and proficiency with an ad server and the ability to actively manage campaigns
- Proven organizational skills and relentless attention to detail
- Strong working experience with Microsoft Office
